Phil Parkinson praises Charlie Wyke and highlights the Sunderland ace 'on top of his game' after Bristol Rovers win

Wyke has been leading the Sunderland attack and keeping Kyle Lafferty out the side.
Wyke can divide opinion so Parkinson was pleased to see his ongoing faith rewarded again in the 3-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

“He was clean through, you have a lot of thinking time, the keeper is a good goalkeeper, very athletic, but what a great finish.”
And Parkinson also had high praise for Chris Maguire who contributed three assists; Lynden Gooch’s opener, Wyke’s goal and Luke O’Nien’s deflected effort.
Parkinson added: “Chris is on top of his game.
“You always feel when he is in and around the box something will happen. He has end product and his stats are stacking up.”
