The 23-year-old has agreed a deal to purchase a majority stake in the club from Stewart Donald, with the deal confirmed on Christmas Eve.
Paperwork was forwarded to the EFL from that point and Louis-Dreyfus – who is thought to be worth around £2billion and will be appointed chairman if the deal is sanctioned – is now awaiting the green light from the league before the ownership change can be sanctioned.

Hide AdThe initial hope was that the deal would be approved in mid-January but, despite the delay, all parties are hopeful of a positive conclusion.
Talks remain ongoing over a deal and the billionaire’s appearance at the game is not thought to be an indication that an announcement is imminent.
Louis-Dreyfus was pictured alongside sporting director Kristajaan Speakman as the Black Cats faced the Shews – and it’s understood this isn’t the first fixture he has attended this season.
