Chris Hughes @chrishughes_22 added: “Proud of everyone of them today. Couldn’t ask for more. This isn’t new to us, this is Sunderland. It’s part of the ingredients that goes with this club. Grant brushing the turf to his dads ashes as he walked off got me. Sunderland till we die. #SAFC”
Josh Bunting @Buntingfootball tweeted: “Fourth successive season in League One isn't good enough but I'm more positive about this summer with the new owners the money is available. Expect a big clear out with contracts expiring. I still 100% think Lee Johnson is the right man for this job #SAFC”
