As part of the B1286 widening scheme, City Way closed between Monarch Way and Camberwell Way between 7am and 6pm tomorrow, Saturday, May 22, with a diversion in place via Silksworth Road.
Throughout the closures, access to Camberwell Way will be permitted from the east side of City Way via Doxford Park Way. Access will be maintained to Oak Tree Farm and Doxford International Business Park.
Once complete, the overall project will address the anticipated increase in traffic due to the number of new homes being developed between Ryhope and Doxford Park as part of the South Sunderland Growth Area.
