However, Rump’s only negative on the night was when he slumped to a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Steve Richardson. Gary Richardson edged to a 5-3 victory over Jaxon Douglass. Richardson’s best were 20 and 21-dart legs. Mark Forth and Andy Clark both players hit best legs of 18 darts as their match ended in a draw. Kev Long beat Don Green 5-0, with a 14-dart leg and a 180 the highlights of the tie. Marco Laybourn played two and won them both 5-0 against Colin Seaman and Jaxon Douglass. Micky Seaman beat Gary Richardson 5-1, but just missed out on finals night by one leg. Glen Woodbridge eased to a 5-1 win over Jaxon Douglass, with winning legs of 14, 16, 20 and 21 darts. Last game of the night saw Davy Marley edge out Colin Seaman 5-2.
