Dean, who was well-known for capturing incredible photos of Sunderland and the North East landscapes, tragically died on Thursday, November 12 after testing positive for Covid-19.
Now floral tributes and messages have been left at Roker’s Cat and Dog Steps in his memory.
Fellow photographer John Alderson, who knew Dean through their shared love of photography, captured these poignant images of the seafront tributes.
