Lifeboat launched after boat capsizes in River Wear.
Sunderland's RNLI lifeboat was turned out after a boat overturned in the Wear this afternoon.
A 999 call raised the alarm around 4.30pm.
But the rower involved was able to right the boat himself and returned safely to South Hylton.
A Coastguard crew attended to carry out a medical check and he was given the all-clear.
