Northumbria Police are investigating after a gang of youths leave a 10-year-old with minor injuries during an attack.
The incident took place shortly before 5pm on Sunday, September 27 in a park on Albany Way in Washington.
The 10-year-old boy was approached by a group of other children, thought to be around the same age, who kicked and pushed him – causing minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “Shortly after 4.50pm yesterday (Sunday) we received a report a 10-year-old boy had been assaulted in a park in Albany Way, Washington.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police by visiting the Tell Us Something page on our website quoting log 708 270920.”
