Officers have seized a car in a Sunderland street following a number of reports relating to anti-social behaviour in the area.

The vehicle was seized shortly at 9pm on Monday, January 25, after officers received a report about it being parked on Baxter Road in Town End Farm, Sunderland.

It is understood that police have been searching for the vehicle and its owner following a number of reports that it had been driving recklessly and involved in anti-social behaviour.

Officers have confirmed that inquiries surrounding the incidents are currently ongoing following the seizure of the car.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 9.15pm yesterday (Monday) we received intelligence about a vehicle that was parked on Baxter Road, Sunderland.

“The car was successfully uplifted with enquiries ongoing.”
